We had two fun filled days in Dubai before leaving the UAE for a whole new adventure. Our day began by piling the four of us and all of our luggage (which was a fair amount) into our compact little yaris. It was not a very comfortable ride but we made it. Our first stop was Atlantis. Although it was a cool day, we braved the wind and clouds and squealed our way down some slides and lazy river until lunch time. We had lunch at Mall of the Emirates so that Mom and Dad could check out Ski Dubai before checking into our hotel. That night we enjoyed some food, dance and shopping at Global Village, a three month long market where vendors set up shop from all over the world. Ironically we did most of our shopping in the Africa kiosk- so many beautiful things ;)

The next morning we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before making our way to Souk Jumeriah for a great vantage point of the Burj Al Arab (the 7 star sail shaped hotel), some shopping and some coffee :) After this we went to Dubai mall, saw the giant aquarium and made our way up the tallest building in the world. Next we did a little more shopping and then had dinner beside the tallest dancing fountain in the world.

Stay tuned, Africa’s Next!
